Why choose the SolaX Triple Power

SolaX has built its name on solar inverters since 2007, and the Triple Power battery is the storage half of that ecosystem. It is a high-voltage, LFP (lithium iron phosphate) system that pairs cleanly with SolaX hybrid inverters, which keeps a new solar, inverter and battery package tidy and cost-effective. The high-voltage design reduces conversion losses, so more of the energy your panels make during the day is there for you at night.

The other draw is scalability. The Triple Power is modular: you start with a Master module and add matching Slave modules as your needs grow, so you are not locked into a single fixed size on day one. For households that want quality storage at a sensible cost per kilowatt-hour, SolaX is one of the better value options in our range.

SolaX battery at a glance

The short version: the SolaX Triple Power is a value-focused, modular LFP battery that makes the most sense on a new SolaX solar and inverter system. Here is the honest picture.

  • Pros: affordable cost per usable kWh, safe LFP chemistry, modular so you can start small and expand, 90 per cent depth of discharge, wall or floor mount indoors or out, and an improved SolaX Cloud app.
  • Cons: most models are DC-coupled and need a compatible SolaX hybrid inverter, the systems are not designed for off-grid use, and monitoring is solid but less feature-rich than premium brands like Tesla or Sigenergy.
  • Best suited to: homeowners installing a new solar system who want dependable, expandable storage without a premium-brand price.

SolaX battery warranty

The SolaX Triple Power carries a 10-year product warranty, and the LFP cells are rated for around 6,000 charge cycles at a 90 per cent depth of discharge, which comfortably covers daily use across the warranty term. SolaX also guarantees a minimum capacity retention over the 10 years, so the battery is warranted to still hold a defined share of its original storage at the end. Claims are handled through SolaX's local Australian support, and on top of the manufacturer cover, Greenlight Solar backs the installation itself with our own workmanship warranty. Keep your serial number and installation records, as SolaX requires them for any warranty claim or later system expansion.

SolaX battery price

SolaX sits at the more affordable end of the Australian battery market. Independent installer data puts the installed cost at roughly $900 to $1,050 per usable kWh, and after the federal Cheaper Home Batteries rebate most typical systems land somewhere around $5,500 to $8,500 depending on size, your inverter and any switchboard work. The value case is strongest when the SolaX battery goes in alongside a new SolaX hybrid inverter, since you are buying one integrated system rather than bolting a battery onto unrelated hardware. These are market guides only. The accurate figure is a quote for your home, which is free.

Who the SolaX battery suits

SolaX is a strong choice if you are installing a new solar system and want the inverter and battery from one integrated, well-priced ecosystem, if you want room to add capacity later rather than committing to a large system upfront, or if you simply want reliable LFP storage without paying for a premium badge. If you already have solar from another brand and want to keep your existing inverter untouched, we will talk you through whether a SolaX AC-coupled option or an alternative like the Enphase IQ Battery is the cleaner path.

The SolaX battery and your rebate

The SolaX Triple Power is eligible for the federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program, which comes off your price upfront as a point-of-sale discount worth roughly 30 per cent of the battery cost, with no means test. State incentives may stack on top depending on where you live. Greenlight Solar handles the rebate paperwork for you. See the current figures on our federal battery rebate page.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. The Triple Power uses safe LFP chemistry, carries a 10-year warranty and a 90 per cent depth of discharge, and offers competitive value per kilowatt-hour. It is a reliable, scalable choice, particularly on a new SolaX solar and inverter system.

It is modular, built from 5.8 kWh or 6.3 kWh modules that stack together, scaling to around 23 kWh depending on your inverter and whether your home is single or three-phase. We size it to your evening usage.

The Triple Power is designed to pair with SolaX hybrid inverters, which suits new installs best. If you have an existing system from another brand, we will assess whether a SolaX AC-coupled option or a different retrofit battery is the better fit.

SolaX provides a 10-year limited warranty on the Triple Power, with a guaranteed minimum capacity retention across the term, backed by local Australian support.

SolaX is one of the more affordable batteries in Australia, at roughly $900 to $1,050 per usable kWh installed. After the federal rebate, most typical systems land around $5,500 to $8,500 depending on size and your inverter. We provide a fixed quote for your home.

An older, now discontinued SolaX line that used third-party LG cells was subject to a recall some years ago. The current Triple Power range uses SolaX's own LFP (lithium iron phosphate) chemistry, which is a safer, more thermally stable technology and is not affected. Every battery we install is a current CEC-listed model.

The Triple Power is designed for grid-connected homes and is not an off-grid battery. It provides backup for essential circuits during an outage when configured for it, but for a full off-grid setup we would recommend a different system.
